Animal Fair Magazine and the Sheraton Miami Biscayne Bay co-host a doggie cocktail party in honor of the Humane Society of Greater Miami. The Humane Society is devoted to rescuing and adoption homeless and abused animals. Miami-Dade transit will conduct a series of tours, Herencia Hispana, in recognition of Hispanic Heritage month. The three-hour tours will be offered in English and Spanish aboard air-conditioned Metrobuses. The early history of Spaniards in South Florida and migratory trends will be discussed. The Deering Estate at Cutler will host Cutler Days, a weekend heritage festival celebrating the history of pioneers in South Florida.
