GOVERNMENT Saturday 8/14 MAYORAL FORUMThe Latinos United in Action Center will host an open house and discussion forum for Miami-Dade County mayoral candidates. The candidates are to address problems in Allapattah area, ideas and solutions for the local neighborhood and its neighboring communities. 7 p.m. at the Latinos United in Action Center Inc., 3321 NW 17th Ave, Miami. Open to public. Details: (305) 772-5857 Tuesday 8/17 FINAL MAYORAL DEBATESt. Thomas University School of Law will host the final Miami-Dade County mayoral debate. The debate will feature the majority of candidates including former Police Chief Carlos Alvarez and former county commissioner Miguel Diaz de la Portilla. 7 p.m. at St. Thomas University, School of Law, Moot Court Room, 16401 NW 37th Ave., Miami Gardens.
