CUBAN CULTURE
   The Institute for Cuban and Cuban-American Studies will hold a reception for The Inner Soul of Cuban Culture exhibition featuring paintings by Cesar Garcia, a Cuban-American artist who explores the culture of his birthplace through his surrealist creations. 7-9 p.m. at Casa Bacardi, 1531 Brescia Ave., Coral Gables. CHILDREN OF CHILDREN
   The Gallery at the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center presents Portraits and Stories of Teenage Parents, black-and-white photographs by Michael Nye accompanied by recorded narratives as provided by the subjects of the photos. SOMETHING FROM NOTHING
   Brazilian artist Jac Lernier will present her first solo US exhibit, Adhesive 44, a display of abstract creations made from normally discarded objects. ONE MAN'S TRASH
   Tom "Captain Honk" Bintz, an environmental sculptor, presents an exhibition of his artwork created from debris found along coastlines around the world. He has used the trash left by beachgoers as a medium of expression to encourage environmental awareness. THE PHOTOGRAPHY OF DESIGN

   The Bass Museum of Art presents 347 prints created by 87-year-old Pablo Picasso between March and October 1968.    Exhibition Chuck Close Prints: Process and Collaboration, created by painter Chuck Close. Formerly on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the 118 works in various media present the human face in a series of grid-like abstractions that comprise a whole image when assembled by the human eye. CRYSTAL PALACE
   The Museum of Contemporary Art presents Othoniel - Crystal Palace, an exhibition of the glass sculptures created by French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel.
