NAACP BANQUET

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People of Miami-Dade will hold its 16th annual Freedom Fund Banquet to benefit the NAACP’s community programs. EYE BANK FUNDRAISER

The Florida Lions Eye Bank, a nonprofit organization that provides donor eye tissue for corneal transplantation to patients and generates resources needed for the study of eye disease, will hold its annual dinner to benefit the organization. ANNUAL HURRICANE FAIR

The City of Miami Beach will hold its 3rd annual Hurricane Information and Preparedness Fair to provide information to Miami Beach residents and businesses on recommended methods of preparation before and after a hurricane. Miami Beach is a mandatory evacuation zone for all hurricanes. Hurricane season runs through Nov. 30. 10 a.m.-1 p.m. June 5, 1000 block of Lincoln Road, Miami Beach. A NIGHT IN HAVANA GALA

St. Thomas University’s gala fundraiser with the theme Havana Nights will benefit the university’s scholarship fund, which aids 98% of the university’s students. POINCIANA FIESTA 2004

The Tropical Flowering Tree Society and the City of South Miami will hold the 67th Annual Royal Poinciana Fiesta 2004.
