'BIGGER THAN LIFE'
   Cinema Vortex will show the films "Bigger Than Life" and "On Dangerous Ground." "Bigger Than Life" (1956), a story of a schoolteacher and family man (James Mason) who has undergone experimental cortisone treatments that leave him addicted and suffering from violent mood swings. "On Dangerous Ground" (1951) is about a cop who mistreats the wrong suspect and becomes entangled in the investigation of a young girl's murder. 8 p.m. showing of "Bigger Than Life" and 10 p.m. showing of "On Dangerous Ground" at the Miami Shores Performing Arts Theater, 9806 NE Second Ave., Miami Shores.
