'PRETEND'
   Cinema Vortex will show Julie Talen's film, "Pretend," in its Southeastern US premiere. This multichannel narrative tells the story of a troubled family through the use of flashbacks, fantasy sequences and parallel actions. The film was shot entirely on a mini-DV camcorder and experiments with the frame-within-a-frame aesthetic - at times presenting up to 50 images in the frame at one time. 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Wolfsonian-FIU Museum, 1001 Washington Ave., Miami Beach. $5.
