THE BATHER
   An exhibition of Francois-Marie Banier's collection of photographs and sketches ranging from images of everyday people to celebrity portraits. His most recent work involves handwritten texts layered on top of his photographs. Through May 30 at Bass Art Museum, 2121 Park Ave., Miami Beach. FRANCESCO SCAVULLO RETROSPECTIVE
   Exhibition in honor of acclaimed celebrity fashion photographer. Over 50 years Francesco Scavullo immortalized his subjects in his images that often graced the covers of Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Rolling Stone and other well-known magazines. His photographs are a journey in the evolution of culture and style. 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday (3/24) at Fine Art Gallery at Merrick Park, 358 San Lorenzo Ave., #3135, Coral Gables.
WOLFSON STUDENT ART EXHIBIT
   Miami Dade College showcases the work of visual arts students. Five works will be selected to represent the college in a national competition. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon-6 p.m. Thursdays. PRINTMAKING EXHIBITION
   Display of print works created by artists at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass, Colorado. A turn-of-the-century sheep ranch, Anderson Ranch was transformed into an artists' community about 35 years ago. All works were created by accomplished artists. Noon-4 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays; 3-7 p.m. Thursdays through April 3 at the University of Miami College of Arts and Sciences Gallery, 1210 Stanford Drive, Coral Gables. ASIAN DISAPORA OF THE AMERICAS
   An international event created by performing artists of Asian descent from North and South America. The works explore cultural roots and reflect various viewpoints stemming from shared Asian ancestry. Mabel Dee Chang and Denise Uyehara perform works that express personal interpretations of North and South American cultures from an Asian perspective. 8 p.m. today (3/18) through Sunday at Dorsch Gallery, 151 NW 24th St. Tickets are $18-$20. Donna Uchizono will perform the dance "Butterflies From My Hand" at 8:30 p.m. March 27 at North Miami Beach Performing Arts Theatre. Tickets are $25-$50. ARTCENTER BENEFIT
   The third annual raffle art exhibition features 42 original works by resident artists at ArtCenter/South Florida. Raffle tickets $10 or $20 for three tickets. LOWE ART MUSEUM
   "Change and Continuity: Folk and Tribal Art of India," an expansive survey of folk and tribal art from India, is accompanied by a scholarly catalog through March 28. BLACK AESTHETICS
GLOBE DRAWINGS
   Exhibition of the work of Russell Crotty, an amateur astronomer known for intricate ballpoint pen drawings of the night sky. The Miami Art Museum is commissioning the artist to create a new globe of the night skies over the Everglades as a tribute to one of Florida's most unique natural resources. Through June 27. 101 W. MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART
   Organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, the first major display of Laura Owens, a Los Angeles-based artist. The exhibition showcases approximately 40 paintings and works on paper that trace Ms. Owens' development from 1997.
