A chance encounter on a park bench between a blind writer and a banker unfolds into a fascinating tale of love, passion, betrayal, fate and the probability of parallel worlds. Mario Diament’s new play is loosely inspired by the persona of the great Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges and is constructed like one of Borges’ labryinthes that entangles and links the writer and the banker. 8 p.m. Friday through April 4. 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays; 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sundays. JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT
The biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life in this musical parable as presented by the Miami Children’s Theater. This play takes the audience on a journey with Joseph, a boy blessed with prophetic dreams, in which he explores his spirit and humanity by facing the challenges and betrayals inflicted upon him by his own brothers.
