Friday 3/5 THE OUTSIDERSThe Miami Children's Theater brings to life the critically acclaimed novel written by S.E. Hinto when she was 16 years old. This story told through the eyes of a young boy from the wrong side of the tracks caught in the midst of urban warfare between the poor kids and the rich kids. The young boy and his peers try to find themselves and each other before the hopelessness of social stratification and daily struggles dominate their perceptions. 7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and March 12 at Coral Gables Youth Center Theater, 405 University Drive. NEW WORLD SYMPHONY FOR KIDS Jaime Bernstein, daughter of famed composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein, will narrate a program of her father's music in two children's concerts. The bilingual writer, broadcaster and mother of two presents "The Bernstein Beat: What Makes Music Dance?" in English and Spanish.
