EMPLOYMENT AND IMMIGRATION CONFERENCE
   A coalition of local advocacy, academic, government and non-profit groups will host "Immigration and Work: Pathways to Community Prosperity," 3-7 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday (2/25) at Miami-Dade College Wolfson Campus, Chapman Room, 300 NE Second Ave., Miami. LECTURE
   The Florida Foreign Affairs Association will host a luncheon briefing by Ric Katz, public-affairs manager, on the rapid population growth of Miami-Dade County and the creation of the Miami Intermodal Center. The center will be similar in function to New York City's Grand Central Station in that it will absorb a great deal of the vehicular traffic that congests Miami's roadways and increase the capacity of Miami International Airport. LECTURE
   The Miami-Dade Public Library System presents "The Good Government Series." Corinne Brody, Miami-Dade County special assistant for strategic initiatives, will discuss "Strategic Planning and Performance Measures in the Public Sector" at 6 p.m. today (2/26).
