   The University of Miami's Theatre Arts Department presents two works that show the versatility, endurance, and pleasure of Anton Chekhov's plays. "The Cherry Orchard" is a wise, witty and compassionate portrait of a disappearing way of life in turn-of-the century Russia.The story of a once-prosperous family facing financial ruin and an uncertain future was translated by "Noises Off" author Michael Frayn. 8 p.m. Feb. 19, 21, 25 and 27; 3 p.m. Feb. 22; and 2 p.m. Feb. 28. "Anton in Show Business" is a hilarious skewering of theatrical egos battling through an ill-fated production of Chekhov's "Three Sisters" set in Texas. Winner of the 2001 American Theatre Critics' Steinberg New Play Award. 8 p.m. Feb. 18, 20, 22, 26 and 28; and 2 p.m. Feb. 21. Admission $16 Friday and Saturday nights, $14 other performances.
