"Visas for Life: The Righteous and Honorable Diplomats" features an untold story of the Holocaust: the dramatic story of diplomats from diverse cultures, countries and backgrounds who by the end of the war had saved hundreds of Jewish and refugee lives at the peril of their careers and, often, their lives. Exhibition is based on original photographs and other archival materials. Through Feb. 15 at the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, 1650 Harrison St., Hollywood. $5 adults, $3 students and seniors. PHOTO EXHIBIT
The Wolfson Galleries at Miami Dade College present "Aperture Past/Future: Aperture at 50", through Feb. 13. The traveling exhibit premiered in Sotheby's New York in January 2003 with 170 stunning images from photographers published in Aperture over the past half century. The exhibit includes works from the who's who of world photographers, including Diane Arbus, Brassai, Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Graciela Iturbide, Dorothea Lange, Annie Leibovitz, Robert Mapplethorpe, Sebasti“o Salgado, Edward Weston, and more.
