TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY

   The City of Coral Gables hosts its annual Holiday Tree Lighting at City Hall. Merrick Park will be transformed into a holiday wonderland with children's activities, stage performances by local groups and Radio Disney. METEOR WATCH
   Free Annual Geminid Meteor Watch is hosted by the Southern Cross Astros & Miami-Dade Parks, 8 p.m.-midnight, Bill Sadowski Park & Nature Center, Southwest 176th Street and 79th Avenue. Weather permitting, early geminid meteors may be visible by mid-evening radiating from the constellation Gemini rising in the northeast. View evening planets and spectacular winter constellations in high-tech equipment. Brink chairs, snacks, insect repellent, and telescope (lights, litter, alcohol and pets are not allowed in the center). Details: (305) 661-1375.

COEXISTENCE EXHIBIT
   Coexistence, an international outdoor art exhibition, will open its North American tour in Miami. The billboard-size, juried poster exhibition will reflect the theme of tolerance and respect for others. Through Dec. 7 at the Miami-Dade College, Wolfson Campus, 300 NE Second Ave. Free.
