   Miami Light Project celebrates Contemporary Performance Series with three shows by internationally acclaimed Australian choreographer/dancer Ros Warby, in her South Florida debut. 8 p.m. Dec. 5 and Dec. 6, and 1 p.m. Dec. 7. at Miami City Ballet, 2200 Liberty Avenue, Miami Beach. $25 adults, $12 students and seniors (restrictions apply). 'THE NUTCRACKER'
   Sugar Plum Fairies and Candy Canes dance on a holiday stage this season in Palm Beach, Miami-Dade and Broward counties. A beautifully decorated Christmas tree grows from 12 to 30 feet tall, winter snowflakes fall and a little Nutcracker doll magically comes alive to rescue a young girl in distress. Part of Miami City Ballet's production of George Balanchine's "The Nutcracker," production opens Dec. 5 at Kravis Center for the Performing Arts; Dec. 12 at Jackie Gleason Theater; and Dec. 19 at Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
