HOLLYWOOD JAZZ FESTIVAL
21st annual Jazz Festival kicks off two-night event with performance by pianist Danilo Perez and trio. 8-11 p.m. at Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center, 1770 Monroe St, Hollywood. Saturday’s event, at same time, features jazz vocalist Rene Marie and bassist Stanley Clarke. $37.50 per night, or $70 both nights. Verdi’s "La Traviata" is one of opera’s most beloved masterpieces. Presented by the Florida Grand Opera, the production is directed by soprano Renata Scotto.
