CHILEAN AUTHOR SPEAKS AT MIAMI-DADE COLLEGE

AROUND THE WORLD DINNER
   Experts at Johnson & Wales University join forces with the Academy of Travel and Tourism to host the Around the World Dinner Tour and Auction. The fundraiser will benefit the academy's career-development programs at Homestead, Miami Beach and Miami Springs Senior High. CELEBRATION OF TECHNOLOGY

HARVEST FESTIVAL
   10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Historical Museum of Southern Florida
   Fair & Expo Center, Coral Way and Southwest 112th Avenue. A South Florida tradition to benefit the museum. Two full days of shopping, music, eating and fun for the entire family. Historical re-enactments, fine arts and crafts, lots of interactive children's activities, a giant railroad model display, Harvest Vintage Car Show, food, live music.
