BRONZE ON DISPLAY
   Manual Carbonell's "Works on Bronze" - a collection of maquettes, sculptures, bas reliefs, etchings and serigraphs - will be on display 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday on the main floor at Brickell Townhouse, 2451 Brickell Ave., Miami. Exhibit runs through Aug. 31. Details: (305) 858-6776.
VOICES AND STORIES
   "Miami Voices and Stories" features a panel discussion with four Miami-based authors - Michael Carlebach, James Hall, Joanne Hyppolite and Felix Lizzarage. Each author will read brief passages from his work and participate in a moderated discussion on what makes life in South Florida such a rich source of literary inspiration. 6:30-7:15 p.m. at Miami Art Museum, 101 W. Flagler St., Miami. The discussion is held in conjunction with "American Tableaux: Many Voices, Many Stories," an exhibition on view through Sept. 7. WRIGHT BROTHERS EXHIBIT

ROME PRIZE
   The American Academy in Rome invites applicants for its Rome Prize competition through Nov. 1. Fellowships are awarded in the following fields: architecture, design, historic preservation and conservation, landscape architecture, literature, musical composition, visual arts, ancient studies, medieval studies, Renaissance and Early Modern studies and modern Italian studies.
