VOICES AND STORIES
"Miami Voices and Stories" features a panel discussion with four Miami-based authors - Michael Carlebach, James Hall, Joanne Hyppolite and Felix Lizzarage. Each author will read brief passages from his work and participate in a moderated discussion on what makes life in South Florida such a rich source of literary inspiration. 6:30-7:15 p.m. at Miami Art Museum, 101 W. WRIGHT BROTHERS EXHIBIT

The American Academy in Rome invites applicants for its Rome Prize competition through Nov. 1. Fellowships are awarded in the following fields: architecture, design, historic preservation and conservation, landscape architecture, literature, musical composition, visual arts, ancient studies, medieval studies, Renaissance and Early Modern studies and modern Italian studies.
