ART Thursday 8/21 BRONZE ON DISPLAYManual Carbonell's "Works on Bronze" - a collection of maquettes, sculptures, bas reliefs, etchings and serigraphs - will be on display 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday on the main floor at Brickell Townhouse, 2451 Brickell Ave., Miami. VOICES AND STORIES "Miami Voices and Stories" features a panel discussion with four Miami-based authors - Michael Carlebach, James Hall, Joanne Hyppolite and Felix Lizzarage. Each author will read brief passages from his work and participate in a moderated discussion on what makes life in South Florida such a rich source of literary inspiration. 6:30-7:15 p.m. at Miami Art Museum, 101 W. Flagler St., Miami. The discussion is held in conjunction with "American Tableaux: Many Voices, Many Stories," an exhibition on view through Sept. 7. Exhibit runs through Aug. 31. Details: (305) 446-5578. ROME PRIZE The American Academy in Rome invites applicants for its Rome Prize competition through Nov. 1. Fellowships are awarded in the following fields: architecture, design, historic preservation and conservation, landscape architecture, literature, musical composition, visual arts, ancient studies, medieval studies, Renaissance and Early Modern studies and modern Italian studies.
