AN UNEXPECTED MAN
This existential romance crafted by Yasmina Reza exposes the inner thoughts of two unacquainted French intellects - a popular author and his female fan - as the two bat their eyes at each other on a cross country train from Paris to Frankfurt. Amusingly, it takes a series of interior monologues to make anything happen between the two, in which they both waver back and forth on the subject of the initiation of a tryst while referring to an array of philosophical subjects including the Sartrean notion of isolation. 7:30 p.m. Coconut Grove Playhouse, 3500 Main Highway, Coconut Grove. Details: (305) 442-4000.
