HOLIDAY BOOK DRIVE
WXEL TV/Radio Station, in Palm Beach are holding their Fifth Annual Book Drive through Dec. 31. Hundreds of books will be distributed to at-risk children from birth through eleven years of age. Collections sites are as follows: WXEL, 3401 S. Congress Ave., Boynton Beach.; Palm Beach Equine Clinic, 13125 Southfields Road, Wellington and Hoffman's Chocolates at each of their five locations. PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
The International Library of Photography presents the International Open Amateur Photography Contest. Open to all photographers in the Miami area, particularly beginners who'd like to take a crack at more than 1,300 prizes. Deadline for submission is Dec. 31. To enter, send one photograph in only one of the following categories: People, Travel, Pets, Children, Sports, Nature, Action, Humor, Portraiture, or Other. Photo must be a color or black-and-white, 8 x 10 print. Include your name, address and category on back. PREVIEW GALA
The Preview Gala for the Festival of Trees being held along Brickell Avenue will begin at 9 p.m. Net proceeds benefit Florida International University's School of Architecture Interior Design Endowed Scholarship Fund. HOLIDAY LIGHTS
Enchanted Place neighbors show their holiday spirit with holiday lights benefiting Care Resource's Children & Families Program. SPIN-A-THON

MERRICK HOUSE HOLIDAY
