SPECIAL EVENTS Thursday 12/5 HOLIDAY BOOK DRIVEWXEL TV/Radio Station, in Palm Beach are holding their Fifth Annual Book Drive through Dec. 31. Hundreds of books will be distributed to at-risk children from birth through eleven years of age. Collections sites are as follows: WXEL, 3401 S. PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST The International Library of Photography presents the International Open Amateur Photography Contest. Open to all photographers in the Miami area, particularly beginners who'd like to take a crack at more than 1,300 prizes. Deadline for submission is Dec. 31. To enter, send one photograph in only one of the following categories: People, Travel, Pets, Children, Sports, Nature, Action, Humor, Portraiture, or Other. Photo must be a color or black-and-white, 8 x 10 print. Include your name, address and category on back.
