SECOND THURSDAYS
   First open studio night along Lincoln Road of the new season. Sponsored by the City of Miami Beach Cultural Arts Council. Highlights include new exhibit at Wolfsonian FIU, concert by Big Brooklyn Red at the Euclid Oval and guided tours of new Miami City Ballet venue every 30 minutes from 6-9 p.m. Opening ceremony with Mayor Neisan Kasdin at 6 p.m. includes performance by the South Florida Composers Alliance to go with a site-specific sound installation. SPECIAL SHOWCASE
   Ongoing exhibit, "Tribal Spirits" by Felipe Lettersten, will be used in a showcase by the South Florida Composers Alliance to create a continuous, site-specific sound installation featuring a performance by the alliance's artistic director, Gustavo Matamoros, who will play "a musical saw." 6 p.m. Miami Beach Botanical Garden, 2000 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach.
