Miami efforts on autonomous vehicles face new federal plans

As Miami-Dade prepares its roadways for the inevitable ubiquity of autonomous vehicles, federal authorities are rolling out new plans to accommodate the self-driving and self-parking cars, trucks, air and watercraft.
On Oct. 5, the Federal Highway Administration announced plans to update its national standard for traffic signs, signals and pavement markings titled the “Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways.”…To read the full story click here
