County contracts for electronic notices

Miami-Dade County commissioners have approved a $724,000 contract for electronic notices, a system used by the state attorney’s and public defender’s offices and the administrative office of the courts for notices to law enforcement agencies for case-related matters.
The contract, for the Information Technology Department, now in its initial one-year term, expires July 21 and is valued at $196,000, according to a memo by Deputy Mayor Edward Marquez. With the four one-year option to renew terms met, the contract’s cumulative value is $920,000 and expires July 21, 2021.
