County charter review team gets 9 months to do job

A 15-member task force to recommend changes to Miami-Dade’s charter, its equivalent of a constitution, is tentatively due to convene at 10 a.m. June 28 in the Miami-Dade Main Library auditorium, according to a letter to members from Mayor Carlos Gimenez last week.
In his letter, the mayor noted that the task force goes out of existence March 30, 2018. That gives the group just over nine months, during which time it must recommend changes and get county commission reaction…To read the full story click here
