Miami-Dade County Commissioner Vice Chair Audrey Edmonson will help host the fifth annual mock DUI event from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. May 12 at Miami Northwestern Senior High School, 1100 Northwest 71st St.
Students, first responders and volunteers will enact a mock car crash caused by a driving under the influence driver and the response by fire, police and EMT personnel to demonstrate the consequences.
Ms. Edmonson is to be joined by Miami-Dade County School board member Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall, the Miami-Dade County police department north-side station, the county mayor’s office, the City of Miami fire rescue/police department, City of Miami Commissioner Francis Suarez and Urban League of Greater Miami CEO/president T. Willard Fair.
