Auto tariffs could choke buying in Miami-Dade County

President Donald Trump’s threat to slap tariffs as high as 25% on all imported cars in the next few months could, if enacted, reverberate strongly in Miami-Dade County, where 85.9% of car sales in the second quarter of this year were import models.
Of the 18,986 automobiles sold at retail in the county in the second quarter, only 2,681 were domestic models, a new vehicle market analysis of the Dominion Cross-Sell Report shows.
