Christina Pappas: Third generation leader sees realty growth at Keyes
Family and community involvement are extremely important to Christina Pappas. Her grandfather, Ted Pappas, took over The Keyes Co. in the 1960s and she always thought she’d like to work with him. When he died in 2011, Ms. Pappas decided not to waste any more time away from loved ones. She left an exciting career in the hospitality industry in California and moved back to Miami, where she soon started work for Keyes Realty along with her father, Mike, who is president and CEO.
It turns out the skills Ms. Pappas learned while working for hotels in Los Angeles are intertwined with real estate sales. She quickly learned the business, was named company Rookie of the Year for her sales volume, and enjoys the work for its day-to-day variety and the joy of helping people find their home.
In addition to the help she provides clients and running training programs for Keyes realtors, Ms. Pappas finds the time to volunteer for a wide range of civic and industry organizations.
Miami Today reporter Susan Danseyar interviewed Ms. Pappas in her Coral Gables office.
