Serge Elkiner has a perfectly reasonable explanation for naming his company YellowPepper: Apple was already taken.
The CEO and founder of Latin America’s pioneer in mobile banking and payment solutions and his team are helping to shift the way consumers and retailers transact business. The company partners with top financial institutions in the region, enabling over 5 million customers executing over 30 million transactions monthly.
It’s a high-paced, changing environment at YellowPepper, so the company offers employees benefits that make them want to come to work: unlimited vacation, “Laundry Mondays” and Wednesday yoga classes.
YellowPepper has three promotional strategies: going directly to consumers, co-marketing with banks to their customers, and co-marketing with retailers to their customers as well.
Mr. Elkiner has been quite involved in Miami’s growing tech scene and has spoken in several tech conferences, including the most recent FinTech.
Miami Today reporter Susan Danseyar interviewed Mr. Elkiner in his Wynwood office.
