Too bad none of these bozos have any shame or else they’d be too embarrassed to justify pushing the Venezuelan issue ahead of more important matters concerning our citizens. They all remind me of the great political cartoonist Don Wright who use to work for the Miami News. He was fond of depicting the commission back then in the 60’s and 70’s as a bunch of yahoos sitting behind the dais wearing a collection of pots and pans on their heads. It appears thing haven’t changed and may in fact have gotten worse.

The kind of posturing you describe is void of any meaning beyond the “getting it off our chest” stage, and it is a pity that our very small time politicians are not questioned (specially by their constituents) more often, as this piece does… What is true for many of the countries these clowns vilify is also true and valid for Miami: people tend to get the governments they deserve…

This however, is what they get when we continue to re-elect the same morons to political office over and over again, and expect different results. Maybe if Dade County had a decent salary scale for commissioners, intelligent, forward thinking people might consider running for office. I say they deserve what they have! The United States afforded them the opportunity to escape tyranny in their homeland, but that’s not enough! They now are demanding that the comission ignore Federal laws so as to pacify their sick obscessions.
